Located on the southeast of Sifnos, Faros is a little seaside hamlet with a small harbour flanked by some traditional fish tavernas.
Past the hamlet there is the beach of Glifò, shaded by several tamarisk trees. From there an easy footpath (with lights at night) leads to the beach of Apokofto and to the headland of Chrysopigi.
On the other side of Faros bay there is the beach of Fasolou, also shaded by tamarisks, from where you can admire the overhanging monastery of the Cross (Stavros) and in the distance the monastery of Chrysopigi.
The taverna on the beach provides tables in the shade of the trees and typical cuisine of Sifnos.
