It is the island’s main port, where almost all arrivals by boat are, but it is also a long and wide sandy beach stretching along the bay.
The beach offers the convenience of sunbeds and umbrellas, but it’s also possible to find a secluded spot where you can relax in the sun or in the shade of tamarisks.
Kamares beach has a Blue Flag, the international eco-label awarded for the quality of its water.
There is all the liveliness of a landing place: an array of cafés, tavernas and shops on the waterfront, hotels and rooms to rent both in the village of Kamares and in Aghia Marina, on the other side of the bay.
